BAN classes are for the passionate and serious student who wishes to be trained properly in ballet technique, terminology and etiquette. The program includes ballet technique, pre pointe, pointe and pas de deux classes. Students will also be exposed to ballet history and learn repertoire and variations from historic classical ballets, which is a vital part of their ballet training.
Academy Ballet is comprised of Levels 1-5. A placement class is required to determine level placement for new students in both ballet technique and pointe. Once students reach Level 2, they are required to take a minimum of two ballet classes per week.

Pointe work is an essential skill for all ballet dancers regardless of professional aspirations. As such, we have developed our curriculum to support this philosophy and ensure our students are prepared for pointe work.
It is our privilege to partner with our students on their pointe journey and will accompany them to their pointe shoe fittings as well as train them on proper techniques to sew and tie pointe shoe ribbons.
Pointe class is by invitation only. On average, dancers begin dancing on pointe at age 12 and take a minimum of two ballet technique classes per week. For dancers aspiring to be on pointe, we also offer pre-pointe classes.

Pas de Deux class is the study of partnering skills and is offered to our Pointe 2 students. By bringing in outside professional dancers from Ballet Austin, our dancers have a unique opportunity to learn how to execute lifts and partnered turns safely and with excellence. This is a vital part of our curriculum which prepares our students for our performances as well as their potential careers beyond.
